Frequently asked questions

General

A Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is a unique 17-character code assigned to every vehicle manufactured since 1981. It acts like a fingerprint — no two vehicles share the same VIN.
The VIN is typically stamped on the driver-side dashboard near the windshield, inside the driver-side door jamb, on the engine firewall, and printed on your insurance card and registration documents.
